You do not need to remember a folder path. Add people to the documents you keep for them, then search by a name, a category or a title.
Identity, insurance, vehicle, medical, home, family, memberships, and the documents that do not fit anywhere else.
Save an expiration date and Have can remind you before the document becomes a problem. The document name can stay out of the reminder text unless you choose otherwise.
Have does not require a Have account and does not operate a server that stores your library.
The document usually exists. A photo of an insurance card in the camera roll, a registration PDF in Files, a passport scan in some folder. The problem is that retrieval becomes a small emergency at the exact moment somebody is waiting.

This one began with a bill. We were paying about $49 a year to a well-regarded service to keep important documents safe. One day an attached file would not open.
Support asked us to check the Wi-Fi. Then airplane mode. Then the VPN. Then to find a computer, log in to the website, and work down a list of steps.
The document was ours. The problem was not. And the whole reason for paying was to have it on the phone, quickly, at the moment somebody asked for it. Paying for storage had quietly become paying for a dependency.
That changed the shape of the thing we built. The core object in Have is not a file; it is an important item that can hold several assets, so the front and back of a card stay one thing. Home is not a dashboard; it is a quick-access card stack, because the home screen of a document wallet should be the documents, not statistics about them. The target we designed against was three to five seconds from needing something to holding it.
Have is deliberately not a file manager, a PDF editor, a password manager or a vault, and it is not trying to be Files or Wallet. Every one of those is a bigger product than the problem.
